One Man’s Tale. Frederick Aragón is a unique yet common man of Southwestern descent, with Navajo, Hispanic, Chinese and Anglo heritage coursing through his veins—and influencing his art. His stories, told in music that embraces the soul, make us reflect on our decisions and how they affect the lives around us. For more than a decade, he made his living as a third-generation railroader, a western tradition with its own culture.
He never stopped pursuing his art, however, and his work as an illustrator led to his position as a designer with a leading U.S. educational software company. Taos, New Mexico, became the home of his next great adventure. In 1998, while promoting his advertising agency at a chamber of commerce mixer, he picked up a Native American flute for the first time. He took to it like a red-tailed hawk to the breeze, and began a new journey. MORE>>
